Targeted Content:

• Through the unique angles of Photographers, and follow the
• main theme “Happy City Happy People – Better city, better life”, to explore and zoom for different cities with the multi-cultural integration; the development of economics; the creativity of technology; the re-construction of the cities and the active interaction between cities and rural places or villages…ect, to carry out all-round and multi-perspective of the records.

Requirement:

• Every accomplished work should be sent either by post or email(no negatives).
• Please highlight: “Better city, better life” Welcome Expo Photography Contest
• No limitation to any country and age.
• Every photo should be taken by individual participant, also attached with the name of IC for submission.
• No limitation to any quantity by every individual. It should be single piece of photo work or group photos (each group only contains maximum 6 pieces)
• The standard size of photo should be 20 inches (wide length).
• Email: the size of work should be around 1600X1200 mega pix or above, also not smaller than 2MB. It should be JPEG/RGB format. Do not compress the size of picture. Any work should not have either word or frame edge. Meanwhile, any browsed photo must respect copyright and avoid to involve in any infringement copyright issue.

• For participants: please paste the form of “Better city, better life” Welcome Expo Photography Contest at the lower part behind the photo. (please check out the relative context below for details).
• Any participated photo should not be mounted. No participation fees required. Mail cost and production costs (scan, printing, delivery…etc) should be taken care of by each individual participant.

Evaluation & Election time:

• The evaluation and election is planned to proceed in early December of 2009. The organizing committee for selected works will give out confirmation and information for the qualification for prizes. Names of finalists will be published on our websites, also on other professional media and websites on time. We regret to note those unselected works will no longer be noticed.

Prizes for Finalists:

• The participants for this contest are numerous; therefore, award-winning will be wide. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize will be able to gain the special Trophy or Medal, which is embossed with Expo logo.

• Due to a large number of participants, the organizing committee has the right to change or replace same value awards when it is necessary without prior notice. Any tax of cash award will be taken care of by individual winners. The organizing committee won’t assume any responsibility.

Ceremony and exhibition will be held at the end of March, 2010(tentative). The concrete time will be noticed by the organizing committee.

Supplementary article:

• The copyright of participating works for this contest (including exhibition, printed pictures, other promotional materials and so on, do not pay royalties) would go to “Better city, better life” Welcome Expo Photography Contest Committee.
• Each finalist will receive the specific certificate from the main organizer.
• Every participant will be considered to understand and agree with this regulation.
• Works for participation must be taken by individual participant. Works involved in the right image, copyright and other legal matters shall be owned by each individual.
• The organizing committee owns the right of interpretation.
• The organizing committee has the right to cancel the selected works of violations and reserve the right to pursue the consequences.
• Works of this contest won’t be returned.
